It’s Oscar night in Hollywood and among the attendees is none other than oddball character actor turned amateur detective Sammy Lucas – here to present the award for Best Original Screenplay. Lucas was hoping to spend the night meeting his filmmaking heroes, but when the host turns up dead backstage(!), Sammy is not only tasked with catching the culprit, but in order to not derail the festivities he must also step in as host and keep the show going!read more

ifancast ABSOLUTELY A MASTERPIECE!!! The Oscars is the appropriate next step and you nailed it! The Best Supporting Actress troupe is such a fun concept, and I love that Vicky Krieps gets a role here! EXCELLENT!

nathanbates @ifancast thanks, that means a lot to me! With the supporting actresses thing I was trying to continue the trend of Sammy being more like the second most capable detective in the story, as well as pointing out how that category is usually the one with the most sense of real competition.

ifancast @nathanbates Ah brilliant! I did praise Vicky in particular, but that entire lineup is awesome and would definitely become fan favorites. Also that story detail for {SPOILER} in the familiar faces role was wonderful, I loved it!
