Synopsis

It’s Oscar night in Hollywood and among the attendees is none other than oddball character actor turned amateur detective Sammy Lucas – here to present the award for Best Original Screenplay. Lucas was hoping to spend the night meeting his filmmaking heroes, but when the host turns up dead backstage(!), Sammy is not only tasked with catching the culprit, but in order to not derail the festivities he must also step in as host and keep the show going!

Description of The Killer:

For the past 5 years, Brion Collins has missed out on both the Lead Actor and Director categories on all his films. It was everyone else in the cast and crew that received the raves. This latest film was practically designed for him to hold the spotlight… but still nothing. At his breaking point, Collins decided to punish those who withheld his glory. Benny, Kitty, Rafael, Clem, and his former idol Robert Rittenhouse. Collins would deny Rittenhouse his first ever Oscar win. But just as he’s about to call the shot, a heroic Sammy Lucas jumps in front of Rittenhouse and takes the bullet for him, leading Kitty and her crack team to apprehend Collins and take him straight to director’s jail!
