Synopsis

It’s Oscar night in Hollywood and among the attendees is none other than oddball character actor turned amateur detective Sammy Lucas – here to present the award for Best Original Screenplay. Lucas was hoping to spend the night meeting his filmmaking heroes, but when the host turns up dead backstage(!), Sammy is not only tasked with catching the culprit, but in order to not derail the festivities he must also step in as host and keep the show going!

Description of Robert Rittenhouse (The Long Overdue Winner):

Despite his legendary status, Rittenhouse is just now poised to win his 1st ever Best Director award. Brion Collins once considered working with him to be the highest honor an actor could receive, but Rittenhouse frequently passed on him and recently began collaborating with Rafeal Arenque instead. It was also Rittenhouse who suggested that Collins write and direct his own films, creating opportunities for himself. But this endeavor did not turn out the way Collins had hoped for…
