Synopsis

It’s Oscar night in Hollywood and among the attendees is none other than oddball character actor turned amateur detective Sammy Lucas – here to present the award for Best Original Screenplay. Lucas was hoping to spend the night meeting his filmmaking heroes, but when the host turns up dead backstage(!), Sammy is not only tasked with catching the culprit, but in order to not derail the festivities he must also step in as host and keep the show going!

Description of Clara Langfield (The Veteran):

A seasoned character actress and a member of Kitty’s impromptu detective team. She’s dealt with all sorts of “difficult” personalities in the past and can tell the ones who simply bark apart from those who actually bite. Her keen judgement ultimately reveals that Rafael Arenque is innocent. He was merely a grump in the wrong place at the wrong time. She later deduces which attendee has it in them to carry out such heinous acts…
