Synopsis

It’s Oscar night in Hollywood and among the attendees is none other than oddball character actor turned amateur detective Sammy Lucas – here to present the award for Best Original Screenplay. Lucas was hoping to spend the night meeting his filmmaking heroes, but when the host turns up dead backstage(!), Sammy is not only tasked with catching the culprit, but in order to not derail the festivities he must also step in as host and keep the show going!

Description of Sammy’s Agent:

Sammy’s agent arrives at the end of the show, once his client is all patched up from a non lethal bullet wound. He tells Sammy that lively hosting and heroic deed greatly improved the night’s ratings and the video of Sammy saving Robert Rittenhouse’s life is trending on all platforms. “This could be it, Sammy. We’re on our way to the top! The CW wants to talk to you, they say the Scooby-Doo show has made the Netflix top 10. How would you feel about doing a revival?”
