Biography

The coupé variant of the F-Type was unveiled at the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show (F-Type R Coupé) and 2013 Tokyo Motor Show, followed by 2013 Jaguar Academy of Sport Annual Awards, an exclusive event in Canary Wharf, London. The coupé went on sale in spring 2014. Launch models scheduled include the F-Type, F-Type S and F-Type R. The Jaguar F-Type R came to market for the 2015 model year as a more aggressive and powerful variant of the 1st Gen F-Type. This model came either as a coupe or convertible with a 5.0L V8 supercharged engine, capable of 542hp and 502 lb/ft. This engine was paired to an 8 speed automatic transmission. In terms of design, the air ducts are clearly seen from a distance in order to keep the bigger breaks and potent engine ready for the correct top-performance. Production of the Jaguar F-Type R ended in 2019.
