Sonic the Hedgehog was stopping Eggman from launching a secretly-amassed Armada, twice as big as the one from the first Dawn of Sonic, and was close to winning . . . when a predicament involving the Chaos Emeralds has accidentally released a giant being of darkness called Dark Gaia. In the accident, Sonic gains a new form for at night: the Werehog! He also meets a new fun, yet mysterious friend Chip who lost his memory. For a while, this Werehog form has improved Sonic to another level. But although it's a blessing, it's mainly a curse. The energy that makes him the Werehog is essence of Dark Gaia, and gets unstable each night. Not only does it negatively enhance Sonic's emotions, but it also gets him out of control and makes him bite his friends, turning two of them into Were-Mobians!!! Will Sonic fight this curse and stop Dark Gaia, or will the Werehog take over?
