Sonic the Hedgehog was stopping Eggman from launching a secretly-amassed Armada, twice as big as the one from the first Dawn of Sonic, and was close to winning . . . when a predicament involving the Chaos Emeralds has accidentally released a giant being of darkness called Dark Gaia. In the accident, Sonic gains a new form for at night: the Werehog! He also meets a new fun, yet mysterious friend Chip who lost his memory. For a while, this Werehog form has improved Sonic to another level. But although it's a blessing, it's mainly a curse. Description of Post Credit Scene 2 (More Hedgehogs):

Sonic was just resting at home when the door gets a knock. He went ahead to answer. Then he sees the person knocking was an older hedgehog with a mustache, and two other hedgehogs (one green, the other red-violet with pink hair) just a couple years younger than Sonic. The older hedgehog could not believe that he's meeting his nephew for the first time. Sonic asks "Can I help you?" Uncle Chuck says "Sonny . . . we need your help." Manic: "It's about our parents!!" Sonia: "They've been missing for a week, until we found them at Robotnik's!!!" Sonic: "Heh. Don't worry, guys. I'll get your folks out in a jiffy. Now, tell me. What are their names?" Uncle Chuck: "Jules and Aleena."
