Sonic the Hedgehog was stopping Eggman from launching a secretly-amassed Armada, twice as big as the one from the first Dawn of Sonic, and was close to winning . . . when a predicament involving the Chaos Emeralds has accidentally released a giant being of darkness called Dark Gaia. In the accident, Sonic gains a new form for at night: the Werehog! He also meets a new fun, yet mysterious friend Chip who lost his memory. For a while, this Werehog form has improved Sonic to another level. But although it's a blessing, it's mainly a curse. Description of Sonic the Werehog:

This is Sonic's Dark Gaia form that he gained after the incident. It only happens at night. Normally, it would corrupt someone turning them into a ravenous and bloodthirsty Were-Mobian, but Sonic's good soul prevents that . . . for now. After each night, the Werehog would grow more aggressive, more unstable, and even try to bite a few of Sonic's friends! After a week of being the Werehog, Sonic's nature slowly turned into something that is half-normal and half-rude even during the daylight!!!! It would only take the Werehog hurting someone Sonic loves to make our hero separate himself from this curse.
