Biography

Lukaz Leong is a a Chinese-British actor and stunt performer, best known for portraying the Knight of Ren Ap'lek in the 2019 film Star Wars: Episode IX The Rise of Skywalker, as well as for his work on The Girl with All the Gifts (2016), Ready Player One (2018) and Jurassic World Dominion (2022). Leong was born in London, and started learning martial arts from a young age. He landed his first film role when he was still a teenager, in Hindi film Yamla Pagla Deewana 2. Over the next few years he began to land bigger and bigger roles, including in the finale of 24: Live Another Day and Avengers: Age of Ultron in 2015. The following year he appeared in Now You See Me 2 and won his first part in the Star Wars film series. He has since gone on to star in two more Star Wars films, becoming a key member of the highly skilled stunt performer cast of the series. Leong continues to be a first call for action films and horror movies, including 2017 release Life, Fast and Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw, Maleficent: Mistress of Evil and Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald. He’s also appeared in an episode of Netflix series Black Mirror, serving as a stunt double and once again proving he is one of the best young performers on the scene today. More recently, he was also a stunt double for Benedict Wong in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, for Donnie Yen in the anthology film Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (and also played Luke Skywalker in a flashback for Episode IX), stunt double for Ludi Lin in the Black Mirror episode "Striking Vipers," and for Hiroyuki Sanada in the 2017 horror film Life. His other stunt credits include a long list of well-known titles such as the movies Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw, Maleficent: Mistress of Evil, Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, Doctor Strange, Now You See Me 2 and Avengers: Age of Ultron.
