A once honest,unassuming Japanese salaryman who after being betrayed by his bosses for unwitting possession of a disc linking them to the Russian mafia,and left for dead is captured by the Lagoon Company and ends up as their semi-willing newest member.He tries to act as a conscience to his new crewmates , however this is met with either apathy from Dutch and Benny or aggression and contempt from Revy.After witnessing many twisted events in Roanapur, he slowly takes on the darker qualities of those around him:Nihilism,bloodlust,manipulation,sadomasochism.
