Biography
The alternate (and younger) version of Count Dooku from the Star Wars movies who didn't turn to the Dark Side. In the Legabeck universe, based on Phoenix Studios' prequel rewrites, Darth Maul will be replacing the Count as a villain, who was in turn, will be adapted out of the rewrites. Me, who was in the writing process of the Legabeck trilogy, saw this as a chance to give Dooku an adaptational heroism without breaking Lucas' established canon.
Dooku's backstory will be slightly the same as the original, but with some personal preferences and changes to fit the Legabeck continuity. He was trained by Thame Cerulian, instead of Yoda, in this version, as a Jedi. He had two friends as a Jedi apprentice, Josegavi Legabeck, five years his junior and the future father of Wintrev Legabeck, the Count's future protégé and son-in-law, and his brothers and sisters, and Sifo-Dyas. As an established Jedi Knight, he took Terrcon Nelvor, whom he later considered as a son, as his Padawan. Josegavi wanted the count to mentor for his eldest son, Wintrev, as a Padawan, but alas, it was not meant to be.
Soon, after Terrcon's knighting, Dooku was sent on a mission to protect Princess Kenaria of Nakami, who would be the future Countess Kathilnah Dooku. During this time, Dooku's brother Ramil, the current Count of Serenno at that time, subjugated Serenno to the Abyssin pirates to turn the Serennians against the Republic. Their other sibling and only sister, Jenza, and their mother Anya who led a resistance, asked help from Dooku. He, along with Kenaria, who accompanied him as she had nowhere to go, went to Serenno. The princess remained under the care of Dooku's mother and sister.
Dooku was soon forced to kill his own brother for the good of the Serennians, the same way Wintrev will forced to kill the friend he considered as a sister many years later. After the war, Dooku left the Jedi Order and assumed the title of Count. He soon married Kenaria, now going by the Serennian name, Kathilnah, for her own protection. The count and countess were blessed with fraternal twins, which former Countess Anya had lived long enough to see, the graceful Ethilnah "Ethilne", the Force-sensitive eldest twin, and the dashing heir, Kennler, the youngest twin. The count often fenced with his daughter and often taught his children politics as soon as they are old enough to understand.
Many years later, Dooku's friend Josegavi was tragically killed in the Alderaan invasion of the Banking Clan, along with three other Jedi, in a battle against the droid army. The count was very sad, especially that he hadn't seen Josegavi for years ever since he left the Jedi Order. The chance arised, when his former apprentice Terrcon Nelvor brought in a fleeing refugee under the name of Donotyr Lawsma, from the planet of Yirrim into his palace, believed to be Wintrev, the missing son of his late friend Josegavi.
Dooku tried his best to help Donotyr, hidden under the name Heras Barirn, remember all of the memories of his past life, to honor the memory of his departed friend. It was soon revealed that Heras Barirn was truly the long-lost Wintrev Legabeck. The count's daughter soon developed feelings for Wintrev, which he soon reciprocated.
