So, I doubt many of you know about a game called The Shopping List, but for those of you who do, I think you know what this story's about. Also, this story's ending is a bit different to the game, but other than that, it's very much the same premise. Enjoy!

  • misterwolf Writing herself a shopping list after moving into her new house, Claire walks to the local town nearby. Her first visit is awash product store, run and owned by Anya. They immediately befriend each other, and after Claire buys the soap, she tests it out on her hair in the shower room.
  • misterwolf Her next stop is a grocery store, owned by Will. She buys milk and cereal before leaving the store. Claire takes note of Anya and Will pointing out a mysterious man staring through their windows. Encountering a police officer named Ryan, Claire is given the same warning about this man. She soon gets the irresistible feeling that she is indeed correct about being followed by somebody. Her last stop is a toy/candy shop, owned by Robert. Before buying a toy and a bar of chocolate from him, Claire fixes his sign in front of the door. Returning home, her feeling of being followed diminishes.
  • misterwolf The next morning, Claire awakens and begins her day with coffee and cereal. However, as she leaves to begin her routine of going to the park, she finds a threatening and insulting note on her desk along with a picture of her mother, Evelyn. Her memories flood back into her mind; her father's constant drug abuse and Evelyn's eventual suicide. Claire had finally gathered the courage to steal her father's car and escape his grasp forever, revealing this as the reason why she had gone through therapy.
  • misterwolf Weeks later, as the moon rises, Claire goes shopping again, visiting Claire and Will once more and then going to another grocery store, which has a robot as a cashier. However, after she steps out of a taxi cab that takes her where she needs to go so she can get home, she avoids Richard's shop this time as she notices that he is gone. As she starts walking back home, Claire quickly realizes that her theory of being followed is correct when she spots a shadowy figure watching her from afar.
  • misterwolf After running home, Claire calls Anya, who answers with worry and concern. Claire explains her confirmation about her belief to Anya, who becomes terrified and enraged over this fact, and advises Claire to confide in somebody besides her that she trusts. The next morning, Claire calls Ryan, who promises to keep an eye out for this person and starts patrolling on high alert.
  • misterwolf As the night settles however, Claire gets a panicked call from Anya, who warns her to stay home just moments before she screams. The stalker takes over the call, telling Claire that she will die. Claire then ventures into town and finds Anya's phone. She then spots the stalker watching her again, and yells at them, asking what they want. The stalker runs away as she continues yelling, and then Claire finds Ryan's badge. Realizing that Anya and Ryan left clues for her to find them in case she chose to take matters into her own hands and deducing that the blood trail is not from Anya or Ryan, Claire follows it and enters a butcher shop. She immediately knows she cannot trust the butcher, especially after he locks her in the basement. Claire finds the bodies of William and several of the co-workers from the the stores she visited, along with the robot from earlier. Despite being traumatized after seeing Anya and Ryan's bodies as well, Claire manages to escape. Arriving at a gas station, she tells the owner of it, Kevin, of what she experienced, but is forced to prove it with a camera. However, when she returns with the proof, Kevin reveals that before she came back in, he saw the stalker and he then tells her to get away and call the police.
  • misterwolf Claire gets home, but after hours, she hears a noise and hides in the bathroom, realizing that the stalker has found her. Facing possible death, Claire exits the bathroom and confronts her unknown fear. Robert emerges from the shadows of Claire's home, and it is finally revealed that he is actually none other than Timmy, Claire's father. He calmly expresses hateful words at Claire, telling her that she is no different from her mother. He then says goodbye to Claire as he runs up to her and stabs her several times, before she goes unconscious. However, as the sun rises, Claire has miraculously made it through her injuries, and she is approached by two unlikely survivors—Anya and Ryan. Claire explains that she thought they died as did the other victims, but Anya points out that despite the other victims being real, Anya and Ryan's bloodied bodies were not, indicating that she only saw what Timmy wanted her to see. Claire breaks down into happy tears when she realizes that Timmy had been caught at long last, and she accepts an embrace from Anya and Ryan.
