After a mysterious plague has ravaged humanity, we start the film with a country man mercy killing his dog Milo. Milo was infected with this plague, this man, Vernon. Treks into the woods around his house to bury the corpse, along the way it’s unclear whether Vernon is losing his mind, or something has happened to all the animals.
