Set years before the misadventures of the three Baudelaire orphans, young Lemony Snicket visits the town of Stain’d-by-the-Sea where he selects an incompetent wild-haired woman S. Theodora Markson as his chaperone who ranks 52/52, and asks four wrong questions in this miniseries based on the books by Daniel Handler. He meets other individuals along the way: the wannabe journalist Moxie Mallahan, the troublesome Stew Mitchum, the mysterious Ellington Feint, and the evil Hangfire. From producer Tim Burton, director of Beetlejuice and Edward Scissorhands, features a stellar cast starring the voices of Jack Dylan Grazer (Shazam: Fury of the Gods), Zoe Saldaña (Avatar: The Way of Water), Jenna Ortega (Beetlejuice Beetlejuice), Matilda Lawler (The Santa Clauses), Jeffrey Wright (The Batman), Natalia Dyer (Stranger Things), Michelle Pfeiffer (Batman Returns), and Alan Cumming (Spy Kids).
