Eleventh Doctor (2004-06)
Emerging from the Eternity War as whom he believed was its sole survivor, the Eleventh Doctor spent much of his life grieving over the immense suffering he had witnessed and the destruction he had caused with his actions. He struggled with the idea that he was the last of the Time Lords, having left the conflict with the excruciating knowledge of his hand in its apparent grisly conclusion and he would react strongly if pushed on the matter.

Tenth Doctor (2001-03)
Starting out as an optimist and a somewhat romantic, the Tenth Doctor was originally a cheerful and pacifistic adventurer in spite of a universe that grew ever increasingly hostile around him.

The Ninth Doctor (1996-2000)
Curious, Happiness & filled with Wonderlust, the Ninth Doctor was the polar opposite of his predecessor, showing his more softer & happier, but mad side. This incarnation of the Doctor believed in hope and practised compassion, providing help to anyone who asked.

Eighth Doctor (1991-95)
Older, stricter but still warmhearted, the Eighth Doctor started off his life as a much stricter incarnation but became more softer & approachable as time went on. This version of the Doctor tried to lose the manipulative ways of his predecessor but was occasionally forced back into his role as "the chess master"

Seventh Doctor
Despite this the Doctor's personality wasn't particularly dark, instead rather mysterious and withdrawn, though with good amounts of humour. Season 26 would introduce a companion again, a teenager from Toronto named Hattie, played by Yvette Fielding putting on a not-so-great Canadian accent. The Monk would be brought back for the first and last serials of the Season, now played by George Cole of the recently axed show Minder.

Sixth Doctor
Fighting his battles with words, he would give many well-remembered speeches throughout his three-season run. The show started to tackle moral dilemmas more often, especially in Season 23's final serial Genesis of the Cybermen, where the Doctor grapples with whether to prevent the birth of his robotic foes.

Fifth Doctor Adventure (1982-85)
Still weak and confused after his fourth regeneration, the Doctor brings his companion Andria to a distant galaxy on the brink of nuclear war. The Space Station Zeta Sigma is playing host to a peace conference between two hostile races. The Doctor soon realises he won’t find the rest he so desperately seeks on Zeta Sigma. Negotiations break down and a new deadly weapon is unleashed by Zeta Sigma’s chief scientist, in reality the Doctor’s arch nemesis, the Master… As the Doctor’s increasingly erratic behaviour threatens to precipitate all out war, Andria must ask herself whose side is he really one…

Though they had been friends from childhood, and longtime schoolmates at the Academy, The Master's lust for power would eventually pull the two apart. While The Doctor and The Master would sometimes remain close friends, The Master developed an intense hatred for and often sought to kill the Doctor, who came to regard The Master as his arch enemy. Despite this enmity, however, the two maintained grudging respect for the other, and would on occasion act as allies.
