Sonic the Hedgehog: Wonders of the World (1996)

The first original idea for a Sonic Movie scrapped in the 90's A young boy who's had a tough life in school and parents eventually going through a divorce, encounters his gaming icon Sonic the Hedgehog, who appears from the gaming world to the real world! But he's not alone, as the evil Dr. Robotnik appears as well, plotting to build a theme park to robotocize the children, have them find the Chaos Emeralds, capture the Wonders of the World and use them for his virtual theme park just for profits! Sonic has to stop Robotnik, find the chaos emeralds, save the kids, and return home before he fades away in the real world! As they try to stop him, they enter Sonic's 3D world on the Sega Saturn where the final climax takes place!
