Heracles

Episode 4: The Boar A harsh winter came over Greece and Heracles was tasked with a new labour: capture the Erymanthian Boar and return it alive. The Boar was known to be ruthless and massive. Heracles found shelter from the cold in a cave full of wine. Drinking the wine to warm himself, the cave dweller emerged from the snow. The centaur Chiron, Heracles' former trainer, greeted Heracles. Chiron and Heracles drank after nearly a decade apart as Chiron told stories of the heroes he trained and of the gods above. Heracles asked Chiron if he knew of any gods who may not support him. Chiron explained that Heracles' name was a misnomer. His name meant "Hera Kleos", the Pride of Hera, but it was the queen of the gods who hated him most. Hera hated Heracles for being a bastard product of her husband Zeus' lust. If anyone on Olympus wished him dead, it would be her. As Heracles left the cave, he encountered the Boar and drove it into thick snow where it became immobilized. Heracles grabbed the beast by its tusks and brought it to Eurystheus telling him to sacrifice it...in the name of Hera.

Episode 3: The Hind

Episode 2: The Hydra Learning of Heracles mission to repent his sins, King Eurystheus called him to his kingdom of Tiryns. Eurystheus made Heracles an offer, he would provide the nine remaining labours. Should Heracles succeed, Heracles would complete his labours and Tiryns would no longer be threatened by the beasts which tormented it. Heracles accepted. As Heracles prepared for his next labour he reunited with his nephew, Ioalus, whom, unlike all of Greece, did not believe Heracles could have killed his family. Ioalus and Heracles set out for Lernea where they were tasked with killing the immortal Hydra. On their journey, Heracles told Ioalus he was framed for his crimes and then cursed with nightmares. Heracles promised himself he would find the one responsible for the death of his family. Arriving in the deadly swamps of Lernea, Heracles and Ioalus held cloths to their mouths to protect themselves from the toxic fumes. As the Hydra emerged from the swamp, Heracles began slicing off the beast's numerous heads only for more to grow back in their place. Ioalus tried cauterizing the Hydra's wounds to avoid more heads from growing back. The strategy proved effective but Ioalus was struck with the Hydra's venomous blood and collapsed in lethal pain. In a rage, Heracles crushed the Hydra under a cliff. As the Hydra died, Heracles ran to hold Ioalus in his arms. His nephew, the only one who had faith in his innocence, died in Heracles' arms.

Episode 1: The Lion Son of Zeus. Hero of Greece. The name Heracles was known throughout the ancient land as a name that meant strength and terror. Once revered as hero throughout all of Greece, Heracles quickly became feared after murdering his family in coldblood. For his crimes, the Gods of Olympus cursed Heracles with endless nightmares, forcing him to relive his sins every night. Heracles wrestled with his demons every night, contemplating his own suicide. The Oracle, Pythia, came to Heracles' aid with a prophecy. Should Heracles repent his sins with 10 Labours of pure heroism, the Gods will cure him of his nightmares. Heracles sought out his first labour in the name of Zeus, the Nemean Lion. Rumor said its hide was impenetrable. No sword nor spear could pierce its skin. Heracles hunted the beast for a month until he finally cornered it in a cave. In the darkness, he wrestled the lion, beating it in the head with an olive tree club and finally strangling it to death. Heracles cut the beast's hide with its own claw and wore the lion's mane as a trophy. Heracles' first labour was complete.

The Justice League was founded after the Imperium invasion by the seven heroes who responded to the crisis. The team was reformed after the Thanagarian invasion with an expanded roster of heroes. The team was originally headquartered in the Watchtower I, and after its destruction has given the same name to all of their subsequent bases. Sometime in the future, the Justice League became the Justice League Unlimited.

The series is loosely divided into four arcs of four books each, chronicling the introduction and reveal of each "A". The series follows the lives of four teenage girls;— Aria Montgomery, Emily Fields, Hanna Marin, and Spencer Hastings— whose clique falls apart after the disappearance of their leader, Alison DiLaurentis. Three years later, they begin receiving text messages from an anonymous source, "A," who threatens to expose their secrets— including long-hidden ones they thought only their close friend Alison knew. But shortly after, Alison's body was discovered. The first arc covers Mona Vanderwaal's reign as "A" and the second arc focuses on solving the mystery of Alison DiLaurentis' murder, as well as Alison DiLaurentis' run as "A". The third and current arcs feature an "A" whose identity is currently Nick Maxwell who is helper A and all the girls knew him as someone else. There are two companion novels: the first, Pretty Little Secrets, is set between the first and second arcs. The second companion novel, Ali's Pretty Little Lies, is a prequel to the series. The four girls are nicknamed the Pretty Little Liars or simply the Liars.
