Avengers Assemble
The Asgardian Loki encounters the Other, the leader of an extraterrestrial race known as the Chitauri. In exchange for retrieving the Tesseract, a powerful energy source of unknown potential, the Other promises Loki an army with which he can subjugate Earth. Nick Fury, director of the espionage agency S.H.I.E.L.D., and his lieutenant Agent Maria Hill arrive at a remote research facility during an evacuation, where physicist Dr. Erik Selvig is leading a research team experimenting on the Tesseract. Agent Phil Coulson says that the object has begun radiating an unusual form of energy. The Tesseract suddenly activates and opens a wormhole, allowing Loki to reach Earth. Loki takes the Tesseract and uses his scepter to enslave Selvig and a few other agents, including Clint Barton, to aid him in his getaway.

God of Thunder

Tony Stark, who has inherited the defense contractor Stark Industries from his father is in war-torn Afghanistan with his friend and military liaison, Lieutenant Colonel Rhodey Rhodes, to demonstrate their new missile. After the demonstration, the convoy is ambushed and Stark is critically wounded by a missile used by the attackers. He is captured and imprisoned in a cave by a terrorist group. Yinsen, a fellow captive doctor, implants an electromagnet into Stark's chest to keep the shrapnel shards that wounded him from reaching his heart and killing him. The leader Raza offers Stark freedom in exchange for building a Jericho missile for the group, but he and Yinsen know that Raza will not keep his word. Stark and Yinsen secretly build a small, powerful electric generator called an arc reactor to power Stark's electromagnet and a prototype suit of powered armor to aid in their escape.

Captain Wonder
On the Kree Empire's capital planet, Starforce member Vers suffers from recurring nightmares involving an older woman. Yon-Rogg, her mentor and commander, trains her to control her abilities while the Supreme Intelligence, the artificial intelligence that rules the Kree, urges her to keep her emotions in check. During a mission to rescue an undercover operative infiltrating a group of Skrulls, alien shapeshifters with whom the Kree are at war, Vers is captured by Skrull commander Talos. A probe of Vers's memories leads them to Earth. Vers escapes and crash-lands in Los Angeles. Her presence attracts S.H.I.E.L.D. agents Nick Fury and Phil Coulson, whose investigation is interrupted by a Skrull attack. In the ensuing chase, Vers recovers a crystal containing her extracted memories while Fury kills a Skrull impersonating Coulson. Talos, disguised as Fury's boss Keller, orders Fury to work with Vers and keep tabs on her.

The First Avenger
In New York City in 1943, Steve Rogers is rejected by a World War II military recruiter because of various health and physical problems. While attending an exhibition of future technologies with his best friend, James Barnes, Rogers again attempts to enlist with an alias. Overhearing Rogers' conversation with Barnes about wanting to help in the war, Dr. Abraham Erskine allows Rogers to enlist. He is recruited into the Strategic Scientific Reserve as part of a "super-soldier" experiment under Erskine, Colonel Chester Phillips, and British agent Peggy Carter. Phillips is unconvinced by Erskine's claims that Rogers is the right person for the procedure but relents after seeing Rogers jump on a grenade to save his comrades, unaware it's a test.

The First Mutant
In 1915, Winston Churchill sought out vibranium in the Antarctic so he sent out an expedition to recover it. While on the sea, their ship was lost in a savage storm that tore it apart and was believed to have shipwrecked. However, there was one survivor: a crew member by the name of Leonard McKenzie. Due to the severity of the storm, everyone back home believed that the entire crew had perished, but what should have been his demise was a miracle instead. He was saved by Princess Fen, who had exploring the surface after they caught sight of the ship. She was taken by the young seaman and decided to rescue the man, taking him to shore and watching over him until he recovered. After swiftly falling in love, the two of them realized that Emperor Thakorr, the Princesses father, would never approve of the union so they hid away, but it was no use. Her father sent Atlantean soldiers to retrieve her while unknowingly pregnant.

She is reunited with her frenemy Blair Waldorf and her mother Lily, and she also meets Dan Humphrey —an aspiring writer from Brooklyn who is one of Serena's main love interests throughout the show. They are told that only one person is worthy to enter: "the diamond in the rough", whom Jafar later identifies as Aladdin, an Agrabah street urchin. Princess Jasmine of Agrabah is upset that the law requires her to marry a prince instead of one she loves, escapes the palace, and meets Aladdin and his pet monkey, Abu. The palace guards capture Aladdin on Jafar's orders. Jasmine confronts Jafar to demand Aladdin's release, but he lies and says Aladdin has been executed.

An enchantress disguised as a beggar woman offers a rose to a cruel and selfish prince in exchange for shelter from a storm. When he refuses, she reveals her identity. As punishment for the prince's arrogance, the enchantress transforms him into a beast and his servants into household objects. She casts a spell on the rose and warns the prince that the spell will only be broken if he learns to love another and be loved in return before the last petal falls, or he will remain a beast forever.

Ariel is a 16-year-old mermaid princess dissatisfied with underwater life in the kingdom of Atlantica, a fantasy kingdom near the coast of Norway in the Atlantic Ocean. She is fascinated by the human world. With her best friend Flounder, Ariel collects human artifacts in her grotto and visits Scuttle, a seagull who offers inaccurate knowledge of human culture.
