After orchestrating a false death, the Joker forgot about Harley and his secret daughter April was safe. Trapped inside Mount Justice for her own safety, April knew nothing about the outside world for 17 years. Isolation like that causes trauma and to cope with her trauma, April often sought comfort in the mental apparitions of her father. In a cruel twist of fate, the Joker and his daughter had never been closer.
