Superman & Batman: Generations

Generations follows Superman and Batman from the beginning of their careers to the far future. Each issue contains two stories; each story takes places 10 years after the previous one. And a new heroes appearing in the future in these years.

The Dark Knight: A Smallville Story

Orphaned as a young boy, Bruce vows to hunt for his parents' killer and stand for justice against the criminal population in Gotham and planetwide. In order to fulfill his vow, he spends the following years training in every branch of human knowledge, reaching peak-human condition in both the body and the mind. Afterwards, with the help of his butler and surrogate father Alfred, his apprentice Nightwing, the technology of his company, he begins to use the power of fear against criminals.

Justice League vs Teen Titans

Robin is forced to work with the Teen Titans after compromising a Justice League mission. But the villain Trigon starts to control all members of the League, causing the two teams to face each other.

The Justice League encounters a supernatural force against which their powers seem to be useless, and Batman assembles a new team made up of mythical heroes like Swamp Thing, the Devil and Constantine.

Iron Man: Armor Wars

After Iron Man finishes a training session in order to impress a general, he returns to Stark Enterprises. Upon analyzing Force's armor, Tony discovers that the armor is based in part on his own designs which were stolen before his current Iron Man armor was developed. He compiles a list of several armored criminals: Beetle, Shockwave, Doctor Doom, Stilt-Man, the Crimson Dynamo, Controller, Mauler, Professor Power, Titanium Man, the Raiders, and others. After finishing another training session, Iron Man teams up with Scott Lang to find out who stole his designs. Tony uncovers that the Spymaster was the one who sold Tony's designs to his rival Justin Hammer. Iron Man goes after the Stilt-Man, who is attempting to break into a high-rise office building. Stilt-Man is easily defeated when Iron Man chops off one of his legs and he renders the armor inoperable with a "negator pack" which destroys Stark circuitry within. A short time later, Iron Man battles the Controller whom he knocks unconscious in front of a crowd and negates his armor. Unable to pursue legal means to reclaim his technology, Tony plans to take out every armored warrior who is suspected of having his designs.

Batman: Arkham Asylum | A Batman Story

The Joker attacks Gotham 's Mayor's Office , but is defeated by Batman who takes him to Arkham Asylum . Due to a recent fire at Blackgate Prison, a large number of prisoners in perfect mental condition have been temporarily relocated to Arkham, many of whom are in the Joker's gang. As Batman escorts the guards taking the Joker inside, Arkham security is taken over by Harley Quinn ., allowing the Joker to escape and take control of the facility. Batman quickly realizes that these events, including the Blackgate fire, are all part of the Joker's plan, and that the Joker bribed a security guard to let him escape. The Joker threatens to detonate several bombs scattered across Gotham if anyone tries to enter Arkham, forcing Batman to work alone; however, he manages to enlist the cooperation of Commissioner Gordon and other loyal guards after Batman frees them. In addition to them, the Oracle manages to help you navigate the island with the radio. Batman gains access to an adjunct Batcave he built years earlier.

The Monster House

On October 30th , a girl is walking through her neighborhood with her tricycle, when it gets stuck in Mr. Nebbercracker, a very arrogant and scary old man, who, for some reason, does not allow anyone to step on his lawn. He leaves his house, threatens the girl and takes her tricycle. As she leaves crying, Mr. Nebbercracker returns to his house and looks angrily at DJ Walters, a twelve-year-old boy who has been spying on him through a telescope, as the strange old man confiscates everything that falls in his backyard, which intrigues DJ.

The Dark Knight Returns: The Return of The Bat

After the death of his protégé Jason Todd, Bruce Wayne retired his Batman persona. Ten years later, in mid-1986, Gotham City is overrun with crime and terrorized by a gang known as the Mutants. The 55-year-old Wayne maintains a friendship with 70-year-old retiring Police Commissioner James Gordon (who knows Wayne was Batman), although he has lost touch with Dick Grayson and has not talked to him in a while, while the Joker (Batman's archenemy) has been catatonic in Arkham Asylum since Wayne's retirement. Arkham inmate and former district attorney Harvey Dent undergoes plastic surgery to repair his disfigured face. Although he is declared sane, he quickly goes into hiding following his release. Dent's disappearance, news stories of the crime epidemic, and the memory of his parents' deaths drive Wayne to become Batman once more. He combats serious crimes, rescuing 13-year-old Carrie Kelley, but now struggles with the physical limitations of age.

Aquaman: War in Atlantida

The city of Atlantis, once home to one of the world's most advanced civilizations, is now a sunken kingdom ruled by the greedy King Orm. With a vast army at his disposal, Orm plans to conquer both the other ocean kingdoms and the surface world. Standing in his way is Aquaman, half-human, half-Atlantean, and true heir to the throne. With the help of Princess Mera, Aquaman must retrieve the legendary Trident of Atlan and accept his destiny as protector of the depths.

It is implied by his virtue of continuing to fight crime for as long as possible and ignoring his aging and deteriorating health (he had retained his former partner's costumes) in addition to his obsessiveness that he had suffered a tragic event years prior to his retirement, so is this moment when a new guy called Terry McGinnis became the new Batman.

The Batman: The Killing Joke
