Super Mario Brothers
Two mustachioed plumbers named Mario and Luigi tumble through a warp pipe into the Mushroom Kingdom, where the laws of physics are suggestions and the real estate market is controlled by a fire-breathing turtle. Armed with nothing but questionable Italian accents, questionable fashion sense, and an ability to gain superpowers from floating vegetables, Mario and Luigi must navigate hostile turtles, and bottomless pits that defy all building codes. Princess Peach awaits rescue while Bowser broods in his castle, convinced that kidnapping is a business strategy. It's a gloriously absurd adventure where jumping on enemies is both genius and therapeutic. The 2023 version of Super Mario Bros was a surprise hit with the 2026 film now having followed suit through Universal Pictures and its animation branch Illumination. However, production on the 1986 version was considered a nightmare. The two leads considered quitting the film citing an awful script, poor special effects and the film was widely panned. It is now considered a cult classic in the "so bad it's good" category. Okay everyone, think of all the popular actors of the 1980s that you think would have been great in this film if it had a better script and no creative issues.

Super Mario Bros
Super Mario Bros follows an Italian plumber named Mario who must rescue Princess Peach from the evil King Bowser in the Mushroom Kingdom. When Mario's brother Luigi joins him on his quest, the two heroes navigate through eight worlds filled with treacherous platforms, mysterious pipes, and hostile creatures. Armed with the power-ups they discover—including Super Mushrooms that make them grow larger and Fire Flowers that grant them projectile attacks—Mario and Luigi jump, dodge, and fight their way through castles and landscapes teeming with Goombas, Koopa Troopas, and other minions. The game revolutionized side-scrolling platformers with its tight controls, inventive level design, and charming pixel art aesthetic. Each world culminates in a castle showdown where Mario must outwit Bowser's minions before facing the king himself. With its perfect blend of challenge and accessibility, Super Mario Bros became a cultural phenomenon that defined an entire generation of gaming and established Nintendo as a creative powerhouse.

The Whistler
Based off of the popular show, the title character is a beautiful cynical woman who works alongside law enforcement to solve cases using clues that are overlooked or the stupidity of the perp or perps.

The Bronte Sisters
This biopic centers on The Bronte Sisters, Anna, Emily and Charlotte who challenged the status quo of their times by writing books that are considered the greatest to this day.

Lovecraft
This is a biopic of pulp horror writer HP Lovecraft who was um...quite a traditionalist for a man of his time even by today's standards. Possibly could be done only if "At the Mountains of Madness" never happens.

Sylvester Stallone's Untitled Biopic About Edgar Allen Poe
One of the most infamous cases of movies stuck in development limbo for seemingly forever, this biopic examines the life and struggles of Edgar Allen Poe. Shortly after completing the script in the 1970s, Sly Stallone did a costume test on himself and after examining the picture, he knew it would be a bad case of miscasting.

The Metamorphosis
This psychological thriller based off of Franz Kafka's classic of the same name, this tells the story of traveling salesman Gregor Samsa who wakes up and sees himself as a giant insect. Or is dreaming the entire thing?

The Dark Tower
You don't adapt a series of nine books into a single film but it happened back in 2017 which was a huge flop even though new plans many since 2020 have said that it could happen as a three-part trilogy like "Dune" or "Lord of the Rings."

Odyssey 3 and The Final Odyssey
Odyssey 3 is more of a sequel to The Year We Make Contact with The Final Odyssey being more of a sequel to the first Space Odyssey book both have been in development limbo since the latter part of the 1990s. It's unclear how this will work now that MGM is now owned by Amazon and if Warner Brothers has to team up with MGM to make these happen.

Christopher Nolan's Untitled Howard Hughes Biopic
Christopher Nolan has spoken about this dream project over the years especially with him wanting Jim Carrey to play Howard Hughes. If Christopher Nolan can't get Jim Carrey out of retirement, who should be great alternate choices?

The Odyssey
Based off the epic poem of the same name, this is a fan cast of a "what if" as a response of sorts to Christopher Nolan and his upcoming adaptation of "The Odyssey" set for release in the Summer of next year.

Clue (Remake)
It has been said that for the past five years a remake of the 1986 cult classic is in the works, so lol who do you think? Wadsworth? Professor Plum? Or Miss Scarlet

Psycho
Yeah, yeah, I know I shouldn't include another Hitchcock redo in my "collection of stories", but we all know the story; Marion Crane is a woman who hates her job because of the sexism directed at her by her boss, so she steals money from him (dumb idea, yes), but she stays at a motel that's in total need of repairs run by Norman Bates, a man who's uh...a little too obsessed with his mom.

Gambit
Well, this is awkward. Many X-Men fans still want the one-off Gambit movie despite the fact that Channing Tatum has accepted the bitter fact that he is too old to play Gambit.

The Torchbearer
In this sci-fi dystopian film set in a world where all sources of light, natural and artificial no longer exist, a group of men (some have sons) unexpectedly set up camp at a well-known location. One situation happens when a mysterious and beautiful woman appears before them holding what she describes as a "torch.". Her presence alone gives the people that she becomes associated with mixed feelings. Some are shocked by her survival skills with some viewing her as a threat because of different reasons. In fact in one scene, an adolescent boy watches her because he's never seen a woman in his life.

Whispers From Yesterday
In this psychological thriller, a young boy and a young girl were in love when they were children, but drift apart in the aftermath of witnessing the brutal double murder of two classmates. The case goes cold. 15 years later, they unexpectedly reunite in college only to have their renewed romance become problematic when they both begin receiving bizarre messages from two people claiming to be their murdered friends from childhood. Are their friends still alive and out for revenge? Is someone playing a cruel joke? Or is it something else, such as mistaken identity?

Rope (remake of the cult classic of the same name)
Can two gay men get away with the perfect crime without being caught despite the lead perp being a psychopath and the accessory having morals? Based off of the play of the same name, the men put the body of their victim in a trunk and decorate it to make it look like they are hosting a dinner party. However, things take a turn when one of their guests reveals himself to be their mentor from their high school years. Can they outsmart him or end up in jail?

Clue (animated reboot)
An animated remake of the 1986 film of the same name now a popular cult classic based on the board game of the name. Who did it? Was it Miss Scarlet? Was it Professor Plum? Or Wadsworth?

The Trial
Based on Franz Kafka's story of the same name, this tells the story of a banker named Joe who is arrested one day for a crime he is never told about.

Cujo
Based off of Stephen King's novel of the same name, this, despite already getting a lot of heat for being set in present-day follows the faltering Trenton household. Vic Trenton is a popular advertising executive who goes out of town not only on business, but to cope with the possibility of divorcing his wife Donna who works for a competing ad firm. Their son Tad has no friends, but likes being around Cujo, a friendly St. Bernard. On the day Vic goes out of town, Donna and Tad go to an auto repair shop to get her car fixed, but they are trapped when they hear the growls of Cujo, a contractor of rabies.
