Biography

Zoe Cipres is an hapa (of mixed ethnic heritage, part hawaiian) actress who portrays Bonnie in The CW 2019 television series Roswell, New Mexico. Cipress first joined the series in season 4. Prior to Roswell, New Mexico, Cipres was best known for portraying Angela on Grown-ish (2019). More recently, she's starring in the upcoming tv-series "Rescue: Hi-Surf" (2023) as Hina Alexander, a competitive high-achiever who struggles with the scrutiny that comes with being one of the few female lifeguards. The youngest of three siblings, Cipres was born in Orange County, Calif., and moved to Hawaii with her family when she was 6 years old. Cipres spent her childhood playing tennis but gave up the sport in high school when she became enamored with dance. Cipres had done some acting and modeling, but it wasn’t until her junior year, when she caught the eye of a Japa­nese modeling agent, that her career took off. Cipres continued to model — she flew to Japan 17 times in her junior and senior years — while at the same time honing her dancing and acting skills at Mid-Pac’s renowned School of the Arts. During the fall of 2014, she left Hawaii for New York to study acting at Marymount Manhattan College, before she got her first acting role in 2017.
