Biography

Staz Nair is a British actor and singer-songwriter of Russian, Indian and half Malayali descent. He is best known for his roles as Qhono in the HBO series Game of Thrones (2016–2019), as William Dey in the CW series Supergirl (2019–2021), and as Tarak in Zak Synder's Netflix feature franchise Rebel Moon (2023-2024). He is currently set to star as Detective Harry Virdee in the upcoming six-part thriller "Virdee". Nair also portrayed the titular Rocky in the television film The Rocky Horror Picture Show: Let's Do the Time Warp Again, which premiered on Fox in October 2016. In 2019, Nair portrayed Dax-Baron, the man who would become the supervillain Doomsday, in the series Krypton (2019). Other credicts include the movies Bazodee (2015) and Star (2020), as well as recurring role as Gordon in the TV-series Humans (2018), and in Lady Parts (2018). Born in London, Nair first caught attention as a member of Times Red, the beatboxing boyband who made it through to the Judges House stage of the 2012 season of "The X Factor" (ITV1, 2004-). The band released their debut single, titled "Just No Good for Me", in March 2013, before Nair decided to focus on acting. Nair is of Russian, Indian and half Malayali descent (his father is from Kochi).
