Sombrita
Sombrita is a baby goat in the American Girl: Josefina Montoya series. Born in 1825, Sombrita is the daughter of Florecita, the most aggressive goat in the Montoya pack. When Florecita dies in the birthing process, Josefina, the youngest daughter of the family and the most scared of the goat, took it upon herself to raise and care for Sombrita. The baby goat took to her immediately, being named "little shadow" after how often she followed Josefina around. While not appearing in most of Josefina's books, she became an iconic character of the Josefina collection and is often seen in merchandise.read more
