Samuel S. Franklin

Samuel S. Franklin is an African-American drama actor and singer born in the city of Mobile, Alabama to parents Calvin & Alyce Franklin and based in Berlin, Germany. Samuel is known for his supporting role as Roger Collins in the 6-part TV/Streaming Series, " Almost Fly," which is now streaming on Netflix. He is also known for his most recent role as singer John Davis in the much anticipated Milli Vanilli biopic entitled, "Girl You Know It's True." Matthias Schweighöfer ( Army of Thieves, Swimmers) stars as Frank Farian, with Tijan Njie and Elan Ben Ali playing the 80's pop duo in the music biopic from director Simon Verhoeven (Willkommen bei den Hartmanns.) The story chronicles the life of legendary pop duo and their meteoric rise to fame which ended in one of the biggest sandals in music history. Franklin will portray the role of John Davis, one of the singers behind the groups success along with Brad Howell, Charles Shaw, Linda Rocco, and Jodie Rocco. The biopic is scheduled for a global release in December 2023.
