Biography

Robert Maaser is a German actor, stunt performer, voice-over artist, gymnast, Cyr Wheel Artist and former competitive athlete (wheel gymnastics. He is currently based in the UK and Germany. His most recent projects include the John Wick Spin Off "Ballerina" (as Dex, supporting role) alongside Ana de Armas, Netflix's 'Blood & Gold' (Heinrich, lead) by Peter Thorwarth and Sony's 'The Machine' (Alexei, co-lead) alongside Mark Hamill and directed by Peter Atencio. Maaser was born in Strausberg, Germany, to Silvia and Thomas Maaser, a former MiG-29 pilot. He started artistic gymnastics at the age of 3. Six years later he started martial arts and wheel gymnastics. Until today he is the most successful competitor in the history of the sport with 14 world champion titles, 2 world cup wins and more than 50 national titles as well as the title as the youngest ever world champion at age 14. He also won the 14 times Worldchampion (Germany) - Award in 2013. Maaser later worked as a professional stuntman while studying acting in Berlin and London for several years. He made his international screen debut in Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation (2015). He then worked on several independent features in Germany, UK, Bulgaria and India as well as on one of Germany's most popular TV shows. Currently, he is most known internationally for his roles in Blood & Gold (2023), The Machine (2023), The Dare (2019) and Barbarians (2022). He is also set to star in "The Black Dagger Brotherhood", "Ge-Man the Coup", "Out for Vengeance" and "Perception of Peace", among others.
