Biography

Nahum Hughes is a South-African actor known for his roles in The Mauritanian (2021), Tutankhamun (2016) and Saints & Strangers (2015). He will be playing the role of Bartolomeo in One Piece Live Action (2023-). He speaks both English and Afrikaans fluently, and is also skilled at dancing, voice acting, cricket, hockey, football, athletics, yoga, swimming and singing. Since graduating from UCT, Nahum has primarily worked in the film industry, taking on roles in films such as Darby and the Dead, Altrad and Body Count. In 2023, he secured a leading role in South Africa’s first-ever IMAX feature film titled Fight the Night, which was Hughes’ theatre debut.
