David Melvin English Professionally Known As Melvin Franklin Was An American Bass Singer Of The Temptations in 1958 Melvin At age 16 Was Apart Of a Group Called The Voice Masters Not long After He Met His Best Friend Otis Williams In which He Then Had A Group Called Otis Williams and the Siberians In which He Had A recording Deal with Northern Records In which He wanted Melvin To Join cause of His Phenomenal Bass Voice In which he did join and 3 years Later in 1961 They Signed With Motown Records In which Melvin and Otis Gained A friendship from 1958 until His Demise In 1995 October 12 1942 - February 23 1995
