Marvel Feature (Roy Thomas)

The first three issues of Marvel Feature written by Roy Thomas with Mike Friedrich co-writing the fourth. The first three issues were penciled by Ross Andru and introduced the original Defenders, consisting of Doctor Strange, the Sub-Mariner, and the Hulk. In addition to forming the Defenders, Doctor Strange was also allied with Wong and Clea, while the Hulk was allied with Jim Wilson. The heroes faced Yandroth, Omegatron, Dormammu, and Xemnu. The first two issues reprinted Golden Age Sub-Mariner stories. The first issue depicted a third story with Doctor Strange returning to the Sanctum Sanctorum and defeating Baron Mordo, who impersonated him. The fourth issue depicted Ant-Man, assisted by Spider-Man, saving Dr. Curt Connors' son from a gang. The first three issues were reprinted in 2012 in Defenders: The Coming of the Defenders.
