Biography

Lisa Braeden (portrayed by Cindy Sampson) is a supporting character and love interest from Supernatural episode 3.02: “The Kids are Alright” to 6.21: "Let It Bleed." Her first appearance in 3.02: “The Kids Are Alright”revealed her to be an old flame of Dean Winchester's. Lisa is a yoga instructor that had the "best night of her life" with Dean when they met in 1998, while he was on his own since his father and Sam were hunting a banshee. Later on, she hooked up with a scarred guy she met in a biker bar and got pregnant. She eventually had her son, Ben who bears a striking resemblance to Dean. She resurfaced in a pair of Season Five episodes, and their relationship was rekindled in-between Seasons Five and Six; continuing on during Season Six. Lisa and her son, Ben were kidnapped in "Let It Bleed”. Upon capturing them, Crowley enacted his layered plan and began taunting the heroes as a diverting tactic to draw Dean from the path to Purgatory. Dean departs from their goal and Castiel follows, easily finding and dispatching the demons only to trigger the second part of Crowley’s plan. Lisa had been possessed and threatens to kill Ben. The possessed demon-Lisa taunts Dean, making as many claims as she could to force Dean to falter and doubt, including the known to be false claim that Dean is Ben’s father and further that she (human-Lisa) hates her own son. After Ben escapes the demon's clutches, demon-Lisa and Dean square off, with Dean beginning the processes of exorcising the demon. Knowing the danger of failure, the demon stabs itself in the stomach, knowing Lisa will most likely die if the demon is successfully exorcised. Dean takes that chance and exorcises the demon out of Lisa, who is then healed by Castiel. Knowing how dangerous it is for his paramour and her son to be continuous targets for all his enemies, Dean requests that Castiel remove their memories of him, and they go on to live contentedly, disconnected from all things Supernatural.
