Leonid Barats

Born on July 18, 1971, in Odesa, Leonid Barats is a highly influential actor, screenwriter, and producer, best known as a co-founder of the legendary theater group Quartet I. After graduating from GITIS, Barats and his colleagues revolutionized Russian comedy by blending sharp, intellectual dialogue with relatable everyday observations. He became a cultural icon through the What Men Talk About franchise, where his character, Lyosha, serves as a vessel for philosophical and comedic explorations of relationships and middle age. Beyond acting, Barats is the primary screenwriter for most of the group's projects, including the hit political satire Election Day and the radio-themed comedy Radio Day.
