Biography

Kim Yumi is the main character in the South Korean TV series "Yumi's Cells," based on the webtoon by Lee Dong-gun. She is an ordinary office worker who leads a relatively mundane life. At the beginning of the story, Yumi develops a crush on her colleague Wook but soon realizes he is not interested in her romantically. She then goes on a blind date with Woong Ku, Wook's friend, and eventually starts dating him. However, their relationship ends when Woong reveals he has no interest in marriage. Yumi later meets Babi Yoo, and they start dating, but this relationship also ends due to various complications. Eventually, Yumi focuses on her writing career and meets Soonrok Shin, her editor, with whom she starts dating and eventually marries. Yumi is an introverted girl who enjoys writing. Her creative side is a significant part of her personality. With Love Cell as her prime cell, Yumi holds many romantic ideologies and dreams of finding true love. She has a large appetite and is eager to try different foods. Despite facing multiple heartbreaks, Yumi remains resilient and continues to pursue her passions and personal growth.
