Kate Carin has enjoyed a successful career working with directors such as Danny Boyle on Shallow Grave and Alan Parker on Evita – and recently with Ridley Scott on the much anticipated Raised By Wolves for TNT network. After graduating from school, she started working in costume design, having spent most of her final year skipping classes to visit the cinema. A native Scot, she has been fortunate to travel all over the globe for her work, which she loves. Throughout her career, she has collaborated with some of the most acclaimed figures in the industry, sharing a passion for movie-making. She enjoys the diversity of her work; one day she might be designing a fruit costume for a commercial, and the next she could be conducting in-depth research for a period piece—no two days are ever the same. Now living in Cape Town, South Africa, she has a wonderful crew that she works with regularly. Their days are often hectically busy and long, but they are always filled with laughter—they truly love to laugh!
