Joseph C. Nemec III

Joseph Charles Nemec III (born on November 7, 1948 in Little Rock, Arkansas, United States) is an American art director. He was a descendant of Bohemian immigrants studied architecture at the University of Arkansas and subsequently worked as a set designer for television in the 1970s. In 1980, under the direction of John W. Corso, he was involved in the set design of a feature film for the first time, the musical Xanadu. This was followed by assistant production design work on several films, including the Steven Spielberg productions The Goonies and The Color Purple. From the mid-1980s onward, Nemec worked regularly as chief architect for Hollywood film productions.
