Johnny Trí Nguyễn

Johnny Trí Nguyễn is a Vietnamese-American actor, martial artist, and stuntman who gained international recognition for his work in both Hollywood and the Vietnamese film industry. After working as a stunt double on major productions like Spider-Man 2, he achieved a significant career breakthrough in 2006 with the martial arts epic The Rebel, which he co-wrote and starred in; the film became one of Vietnam's highest-grossing productions and won the Golden Kite Award for Best Feature Film. He further established his action credentials with the 2007 hit Clash and the 2013 film Bui Doi Cho Lon, though the latter faced a high-profile ban by Vietnamese censors. In addition to his domestic success, he is noted for his role in the Thai action film The Protector (Tom-Yum-Goong) and for his contributions to the development of mixed martial arts in Vietnam.
