Joseph David Keery, also known professionally asย Djo, is an American actor, singer, and musician. He first gained international recognition for playingย Steve Harringtonย in the science fiction seriesย Stranger Thingsย (2016โ2025), and has since starred in the comedy horror filmย Spree (2020), the comedy filmย Free Guyย (2021), and in theย fifth seasonย of the crime comedy-drama seriesย Fargoย (2023โ2024).
As a musician, Keery was a founding member of the psychedelic rock bandย Post Animal. He left the band in 2018 due to acting commitments. In 2019, he released his debut solo album,ย Twenty Twenty (2019), as Djo. His second album,ย Decideย (2022), spawned theย sleeper hitย and his firstย Billboardย Hot 100ย entry, "End of Beginning", after it became viral onย TikTokย in 2024. Djo's third album,ย The Crux, was released in 2025. He rejoined Post Animal that same year and headlined theย Back on You World Tourย as Djo with Post Animal as openers.
