Princess Jasmine is the deuteragonist of the Disney's 2019 live-action film, Aladdin. She is a strong-willed and outspoken princess of Agrabah who wants to become a good ruler for the kingdom after her father, the Sultan, which does not sit well with the land's male-driven society.
She is based on both Princess Badroulbadour from the Middle-Eastern folk tale Aladdin and the character of the same name from the 1992 animated film.
