Biography

Five-issue miniseries written by Keith Giffen and J.M. DeMatteis and penciled by Kevin Maguire. The team once again consisted of the Hulk, Doctor Strange, Namor, and the Silver Surfer and their enemies were Dormammu (the main antagonist of the series) and Umar. After Nightmare told Doctor Strange that Dormammu and Umar were planning to invade Earth, the Sorcerer Supreme reassembled the Defenders. After the siblings had used Eternity to remake creation, the Defenders found themselves in his Dormammu's universe, where they encountered his versions of Marvel heroes, including one of Doctor Strange.
