Chris Mancini

Chris began his musical career with a summer music publishing job in Hollywood where he witnessed auditions by up and coming writers like Jim Crice, Kris Kristofferson and Mac Davis. From there he became part of NBC’s “Midnight Special” production team, bringing artists like David Bowie to television for the first time. Chris then went on to write songs for television films for Ross Hunter and Penny Marshall, and eventually recorded his own album entitles “No Strings” released on Atlantic Records. Later he became and executive for Arista Music, where as the West Coast Director of Creative Affairs he worked with writers including Dianne Warren and the Eurhythmics. Chris has contributed to several multi-platinum award-winning albums by such artists as Bonnie Rait, Eric Clapton and Robert Plant, and to soundtracks like Waynes World and The Color of Money. In 2004 Virgin Records released the “Pink Panther Penthouse Party” CD which featured Chris’s re-mix of his father’s theme from A Shot In The Dark. Today Chris continues to keep his father’s music in the mainstream by releasing various Mancini tracks that he remixes and infuses with his own unique contemporary style.
