Biography

C. Bagley Beetle, also known as simply Mr. Beetle, is the main antagonist of Fleischer Studio's 2nd and last full-length animated feature film Mr. Bug Goes to Town. He was voiced by the late Tedd Pierce. Mr. Beetle is a wealthy beetle from the outskirts of the Lowlands who has his eyes on Honey Bee, the daughter of Old Mr. Bumble, wanting to marry her. However, Hoppity, the town's hero, also has his eyes on Honey, which also prompts Mr. Beetle to hatch a plan to eliminate him as a love rival to Honey.
