Anna Popplewell's dog

Anna Popplewell who was known to millions as Susan Pevensie, the logical, elegant older sister in Disney’s The Chronicles of Narnia. Today, however, the grand halls of Cair Paravel have been replaced by a peaceful, highly guarded home sanctuary in her native Britain, where her personal milestones remain entirely off social media, shielded from the relentless gaze of the public. In this deliberate retirement, the actress has traded the intentional rhythm of everyday life, culminating in a deeply sentimental Christmas gift to herself in December 2025: her very first mahogany and white male Saint Bernard puppy while in private, the reality creates a beautiful narrative symmetry. In the Narnia lore, Susan Pevensie was bestowed with the title "Susan the Gentle," a moniker earned through her kindness, grace, and steady disposition. Over 20 Years later, these exact traits are mirrored in the breed Popplewell has long adored. Saint Bernards are legendary not only for their massive stature but for their profound loyalty and remarkably gentle dispositions. By bringing this giant breed into her life, Popplewell has anchored her quiet retirement with a living embodiment of the very gentleness that defined her early career, transforming a fictional title into a tangible, daily source of unconditional companionship. stepping into the world of giant-breed ownership has introduced a magnificent contrast between the serene life she envisioned and the chaotic, joyful reality of puppyhood.
