Synopsis

Need to make faceclaims for the characters in your fancasts, but don't want to resort to stolen art from Google search or - god forbid - AI-generated stuff? Here's a list of character creators that you can use to make character faceclaims, all sorted by categories you'd might want to look for! Adding additional categories and character creators is welcomed, but please be mindful of the rules listed in the comments and descriptions before suggesting!

  • tildeheart Alright, personal formatting rules for submitting character creators: format the actor profile name as (character creator name) by (character creator maker's name)" when submitting, and place a link to the creator in the actor profile's description. Also, if the creator's name is in a language that doesn't use the roman alphabet (like Japanese, Korean, etc), please translate it into English (and double-check to make sure your translation is accurate!) before finalizing profiles. Mycast search function doesn't recognize non-Latin characters, so this is to save your sanity and mine. Also, if there's other categories you'd like to look for, feel free to add them!

    • tildeheart   @tildeheart also, this should go without saying but: NO AI "ART" GENERATORS. The better majority of AI art generators are trained on art that has not been used with explicit permission and I'm trying to cut down on art theft here, not to mention those technically aren't character creators.

    • tildeheart   @tildeheart also, this isn't an obligation, but if you use any character creators you found here for your fancasts, I'd highy recommend making something like a "Character Creators Used" role for your fancasts that credits them, to make sure the artists get proper credit and other people can find them!
