nathanbates I’m really intrigued by Marielle Heller as the director. Coming off of the Mr. Rogers movie, she seems like a natural fit. I wonder if she’d carry over any of Rogers’ views on superheroes. The challenging and reaffirmation of Superman as a storyline would be interesting material for her to tackle.

- ifancast @nathanbates Oh yeah definitely. A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood's intimate, human look at a good man like Mr. Rogers made me realize how well she could portray Superman. And the dynamic between Mr. Rogers and Lloyd could be an influence on Superman and Manchester Black's relationship. I even considered Matthew Rhys for Manchester, but I like British Asians too much
