Synopsis

Mario is haunted by the past in which he lost his brother, Luigi, who died trying to hold back a horde of violent ghosts and zombies before they could break out of his mansion. With a familiar threat returning, Mario must come to terms with who he is, and save the Mushroom Kingdom with help from old and new allies alike.

Description of "Mr. L" (End of Season One):

Mario and Peach find a hitchhiker while travelling across Dry Dry Desert. They pull over, and are shocked to find that it's non other than Luigi himself, having survived the mansion attack all those years ago!
