In the first season of the Spider-Girl series, which takes place in the same universe as Sam Raimi's Spider-Man movies, we follow the teenage life of Mayday Parker, daughter of Peter Parker and Mary Jane. Now an ordinary young girl, Mayday gradually discovers her spider-like powers and the responsibility that comes with them, following in her father's footsteps. However, Mayday's teenage tranquility is interrupted when the Kingpin, Wilson Fisk, expands his criminal activities and plans to control New York. Black Tarantula, a dangerous ally of Fisk, enters the scene as a merciless executor of his plans. As Mayday assumes the identity of Spider-Girl (following her father's retirement as Spider-Man) to confront the crime plaguing the city, she finds herself in direct confrontation with these formidable villains. The series explores Mayday's family dynamics, her struggles as a teenager, and the complications that arise when balancing her everyday life with the responsibility of being a hero.
