  • mrmpth You picked the worse story out of the entire saga or is this the only book you have? However, you story description makes it sound quite good actually. I love the stuff about root races. It was reading Slaine Time-Killer from the original progs that got me into the whole thing about Root Races in the first place. I think I may just have to reread Slaine Dragon-Tamer again. If were to pick a story arc about Slaine to do first. I would really go with Slaine the Horned God. Because it was that particular story arc that broke the international market for it's author and co-creator Pat Mills ( and creator and first time Slaine artist Angela Kincaid...) with Simon Bisley's colorful art-work (Kind of like Frank Frazzeta's...) that really helped a lot as well. That graphic novel is very well known to most fans of Slaine everywhere and even non-fans alike. People will know it and there was even fan made movie trailer for it. (shown below...) If a Slaine the Horned God movie is ever really made and if it does become popular enough. Then, I would love to see more Slaine movies made that detail his life from the beginning. Slaine Warrior's Dawn is what I'm talking about here. (Graphic novel of the same name...) and then maybe Slaine Time-Killer. Although al lot of fans claim that one could be skipped over/ cleanly lifted away from the rest of the saga since, it's more of a sci-fi spin-off. Then Slaine the King, which leads onto Slaine the Horned God. After that the story does suffer and fan beleive it should have ended there. Maybe not, Slaine Dragon Killer and Queen of the Witches. They were interesting. Then there are the Saine stories that detail his wandering through worm-holes in time to events that happened in Tir-Nan-Og's near future mainly. Boudicca, Simon Demonfort (spelling?), Robin Goodfellow to name a few. This might be good television serial. Then there are the books of Invasion which I alwsy though would be great source material for Slaine computer game similar to the Warhammer 40k's Dawn of War series. Only because Clint Lanely the artist then also did a lot Warhammer art. Simon Davis's work on the next couple of Slaine graphic novels should be in art gallery and this leads right up to your favorite book. Thats all I have to text, and Boy, hope I didn't over shoot the word count there... Slainte
  • mrmpth Is this dream-casting a work in progress. I'm sure there were more characters here.
