Following the events of the first film (2019), Tim is finally reunited with his long-lost father and respected Ryme City police detective Harry Goodman. The two of them, along with Harry's Pikachu partner, are sent on a new case when several Pokemon from nearby cities start to go missing. The start of their case takes them to Pallet Town, where the current Pokemon World Champion, Ash Kethcum, lives.
