Synopsis

Basically a new take on an MK film, telling the story of MK 1992 but as a modern day film. (live action) FLASHBACKS: - Sonya (SF chasing Kano onto the boat to Shang Tsung's island.) - Liu Kang (Raiden choosing Liu as the Earthrealm champion.) - Scorpion (Quan Chi revives Hanzo as a spectre and tells him Bi-Han slaughtered his family & the Shirai Ryu.)

  • modwave2009 Story: Lord Raiden approaches Liu Kang and tells him that he is destined to be Earthrealm's champion in Mortal Kombat. The spectre Scorpion searches for his presumed killer, the Lin Kuei assassin Sub-Zero. Sonya and her Special Forces hunt down Kano to Shang Tsung's island. Johnny Cage tries to revitalise his career. They all meet at Shang Tsung's island to take part in his tournament against each other and his fighters, Reptile and Goro. Scorpion succeeds in killing his killer and Liu Kang beats everyone else and kills Goro. Just before he would be killed by Liu Kang, Shang Tsung escapes via a portal to Outworld which everyone still standing follows into...
