Dan Scott, a shy and nerdy Twitch streamer, decides to play "Doki Doki Literature Club!" for its 10 year anniversary as a manga released back in 2014, 7 year anniversary as a visual novel, and just to try out a new game. He plays as Mason Carter, a student at Doki Doki High, who joins the Literature Club which consists of his childhood friend Sayori; the tsundere Natsuki; the mature Yuri; and the club president Monika. But, after Dan finds out the dark backstory of the game and experiences some less than savory stuff, he finds out that Monika knows she's in a video game, and he has to make a choice: Try to escape the broken game or stay with Monika forever.
